Ten I See
Sooo...on April 10th 2012 an adventure began. My best friend Rachel and I had to make a pit stop at the store before we left for about $10 worth of candy! Rachel, her parents and I all were getting ready for a 15 hour drive. Yess a 15 hour drive, that her father made it clear that We were going to make record time by getting there in 12 and a half hours. And where would we go that would take this long of a drive..well only to the most famous city known for country music.....Nashville,Tennessee! It was a long and hard drive with hitting snow when we were driving through cincinnati parents cranking the music, and trying to sleep in the backseat all at the same time. Finally 12 and a half hours later we arrive at our destination! When we freshened up we decided to go for a walk down main street. I was amazed at how the street was covered with bars with live bands playing in every single one of them. There were shops here and there but boy they were expensive....$129 for a belt I think not. The next day we all went a couple minutes out of town to go zip lining..talk about the time of your life and an adrenaline rush! It was amazing. The second day The zoo was our next stop. Let's just say that there zoo is 1000 times better than our Syracuse zoo we have. There's is like you are actually walking through a forest. This trip was one of the best ones of my life and I can't wait till I go back...but it will be when i am older so I can experience the night life!

The Story Of Blima
The book covers Blima's life before,
during, and after the Holocaust. The years of1936 and 1947, she was captured
off the street of her hometown. Blima is imprisoned and forced live her life in labor camps for the
majority of the war.The book mainly focuses on Blima's attempts toget back on
her feet after being freed. Later on she found her way back into a normal life
and went on to get married after moving to America.
"I jump forward as if by a spark and join the others." (p. 65) This quote identifies the literary element of imagery. The quote helps the overall development of the theme because it is exlpaining that the jews have to be on top of what they are suppose to be doing and not fool around. They are almost like robots doing what the Nazis whated, when they wanted.
Overall I enjoed rreading this book. Some strenghts of the book was that even though its a story about the holocaust, the book goes into depth about Blima's later life and how she dealt with things in order to move on a live and normal life. Also even though it was heartbreaking to read, it is a good way to somewhat understand what the jewish people went through during this time and how they copped with the emotions they were left with.
